Leadership Lesson No 74: Reflections, Resolutions & Intentions

07Jan

I didn’t purpose to be in the space that I find myself in.  God plucked me from the path that I had set out for myself & set me on an alternative journey. At the start it all appeared somewhat ‘accidental’ but I know now that it was no accident, rather His design, His purpose for my life…

So now that I am here, these are my confessions…the lessons I am learning about being a woman in business, building an empire, one brick at a time…

Leadership Lesson No 74Reflections, Resolutions & Intentions

We all get the exact same 365 days. The only difference is what we do with them.”

― Hillary DePiano,

I often begin the year thinking about all the things that I want to achieve. I make my lists – I love lists 😊 and diligently apply the SMART acronym to ensure that I am well on my way to achieving my aspirations.

This year – as I reflect on the year that was, 2020 and the journey I was forced to take as a result of the pandemic – I find myself asking 3 important questions: Who do I want to be? How do I want the people around me to feel? How can I live out my God-given purpose daily?

I suspect that these questions will influence the way I chase after my dreams this year, and I suspect that I will feel more alive, fulfilled & motivated if I hold myself true to the answers I give – far more than I ever did when I was just checking boxes.

Hello 2021.  I am ready. I hope you are too!

Happy New Year!
